About the Artist and Owner

Madeleine Vos-Arnold

My creative side really started to take shape when i was in secondary school (yes, i am from the UK) when i realised that i wasn't horrible at drawing it sort of became my happy place but i didn't it pursue it at the time because i wanted to be an athlete.

I grew up in the south of England, met my Italian husband who lived in Las Vegas and uprooted to the US. Starting in Vegas we loved to hike and explore the mountains - This is where my love for the desert really came from.

Our daughter was born and after 4 months in the NICU, we moved to DC - with no friends and feeling a bit lonely, the city rekindled my love for art. We loved to explore the museums but my favourite place was always the botanical gardens (specifically the cactus collection).

Skip a few years and we landed in the Chicago Burbs where we still live, i turned my business from a hobby into the real thing during 2020 when i needed something to do!

I started with yarn wall hanging, taught myself to weave, explored Suncatchers like the ones that my best friend and I loved as kids and i finally realised i could cut brass to fit my ideas - I WAS IN MY ELEMENT.

Since then i have been finding ways to express my love for the desert, my exploration of this medium grows by the day - So when are we heading the Arizona for inspo??

Also don't be fooled, my ideas don't just come from the Desert - I also LOVE interior design (dream job hello) and Bathrooms are the best
